Review by hotel critic
I recently had the pleasure of staying at O'Donovan's with my beloved dog, Penny, and it proved to be an experience that catered exceptionally well to both our needs. Upon arrival, we were warmly welcomed by the staff, setting the tone for a stress-free visit. Our room was spacious, featuring a balcony that granted Penny the opportunity to observe the hustle and bustle of the charming alley below-a delightful pastime. The culinary offerings at the hotel were impressive. The Alley Garden Bistro Bar presented a varied menu, and I found their a la carte selections particularly appealing. Each dish I tried was thoughtfully prepared, showcasing a blend of both traditional and contemporary flavors that represent local cuisine. As a wildlife conservationist, I appreciated the laid-back, welcoming atmosphere throughout, which mirrors the hospitality of the Kenyan savannas. Whether enjoying a cozy evening with a snack at the bar or a hearty breakfast in the adjoining café, I felt a genuine connection to the essence of this vibrant town. I look forward to my next visit, where I hope to explore even more of their culinary innovations.
